Volunteer

We welcome volunteers since they are an integral part of running tournaments - tournaments would not be possible without volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the EP at the "General Info" tab. If you know what position you'd like to volunteer, let us know. If not, we can provide additional information on the various volunteer opportunities available.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

An email will be sent out to each team's primary and secondary POC in the event of bad weather. Teams should note that Richmond weather may differ from Northern Virginia and teams should plan accordingly. This tournament will only be cancelled if Richmond schools close due to weather. If a singular team is unable to make it due to weather, unfortunately we will not offer refunds to no shows due to poor weather.

This event will go on rain or shine. However, in the event of a full snow cancellation we will offer refunds of $75 per team.

Refund and Payment Policies

There will be no refunds outside of a full event cancellation. We are willing to work with teams if we are able to find a team to take their spot.

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
