Health and Safety Policies

Health and Safety Policies

We will follow the latest guidance from the CT State Department of Education. It is important to remember that things not only might change, they will. We will continue to be flexible in our approach in compliance with state guidance and best practices as we strive to keep everyone safe.

Mask Use:

Unless the Department of Health recommends otherwise masks will be optional this year.

Hygiene/Handwashing:

Frequent handwashing is still a recommended mitigation strategy to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.

Vaccination:

Increasing vaccination rates in our students, staff, and community is our greatest strategy in keeping students learning in-person. Vaccination is currently available to everyone 5 years of age and older and appointments are readily available at pharmacies and health centers.

Diagnostic Screening, Reporting Illnesses, and Testing:

Please stay home if you are sick.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
