Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

We will do our best to run on time but the agenda is subject to change.

Skills will close when the last Qualification match ends.

Volunteer

Stargate does not require attending teams to bring volunteers.

We do however need judges not affiliated with Stargate so if you would like to volunteer as a judge or in any other capacity, please email [email protected].

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of inclement weather (as determined by Adams 12 School District) the tournament will be canceled and no refunds will be available.

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment Deadline:

Payments for this tournament are due one week prior to the event @ 12:00 PM EST

If the Event Partner cancels the event for reasons other than inclement weather: 

Refunds will be available up to two weeks prior to the event, minus the $5.00 non-refundable RobotEvents fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be available up to two weeks prior to the event, minus the $5.00 non-refundable RobotEvents fee.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:

  • Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.
  • Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
  • A notebook submission deadline will be communicated with registered teams via email.
