General Info

A coaches/advisors hospitality room will be available, but WILL NOT include a meal at lunch. Snacks, drinks and bottled water will be made available for coaches and advisors. Please help us keep student competitors in the contest/pit area. The hospitality room is for coaches, advisors and volunteers only.

Concessions will be available starting at 9:00 am.

Digital notebooks will be submitted utilizing the instructions in the "Judging Format" link on the left side of this page. Please note the deadline to submit the digital notebook is Tuesday, December 3d at noon Central time. Notebooks with a submission date/time stamp after the deadline specified will NOT be considered for judged awards and will not be reviewed. No exceptions.

The Robot Skills field(s) will be used only for Programming and Driver skills events and will open at 8:30 am.

Teams CANNOT conduct robot skills runs until AFTER passing inspection.

Do not use the skills fields for practice at any time (even during lunch). 

Volunteer

Vex tournaments rely heavily on volunteers to make the events as cost-effective as possible and help keep the costs of hosting, and thus the cost of registration down for participating teams. If you would like to volunteer for positions for this event, please reach out to Mr. Terry Ayers at [email protected] or Mr. Jeremy Wilt at [email protected] no later than one week prior to the event so we will have time to assign you to a spot on the volunteer rotation.

Thank you for your willingness to make this event even better by volunteering to assist with the execution of this event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather this event will be cancelled. A final call on the cancellation will be made no later than noon, Friday December 6th and email will be sent to all registered teams at that time. No phone calls will be made. Please ensure that you have a primary and secondary point of contact for each team you represent in the event this plan must be initiated.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will not be awarded due to cancellation by the event partner.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refunds will be awarded for this situation.

The coach/Mentor can request the funds be reallocated to another team from the same school as a substitution, but can only request one substitution per school.

This event will NOT be webcasted (live-streamed).

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
    • Digital Engineering Notebook Submission deadline for this event is:
