General Info

Welcome to WYIS VEX IQ Competition in Wuhan City! This is an event which aims to promote robotics education to young students in the Internationals Schools in China. It nurtures young students' interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) by providing interactive competition platform with designable and programmable robots; also, it reinforces students' real-case solving skills and teamwork spirit by providing hands-on experience and idea-sharing community. It is full of engagement, challenge and passion.

This competition is open only to International Schools in China.

Directions:

From The Airport 从机场至武汉长江国际学校

From the airport, take the #2 channel onto the Airport Expressway.
从机场二通道进入机场高速
Continue straight, travel over the Chang Qing Overpass, turn right onto the 3rd Ring Road.
从机场高速进入常青立交桥右转上三环线
Go straight on the 3rd Ring Road and pass Chang Feng Bridge and Mi Liang Shan Overpass. Go straight and exit 3rd Ring Road. Turn right onto Dong Feng Road.
过长丰桥和米粮山立交桥直行,下三环线右转进入东风大道
Continue straight, turning right onto San Jiao Hu Road.
东风大道直行,右转进入三角湖路
Continue straight for five blocks, turn right onto Boxue Road.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  • No Judging
  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
  •  All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.  Initial Interviews and Notebook submission deadlines may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
  • Remote Initial Team Interviews / In-Person Engineering Notebooks: Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, possibly before the date of the event. Engineering Notebooks will still be submitted in person the day of the event to be evaluated by judges.
  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
