Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart of every VEX competition--without them the event simply cannot function. In a perfect world, every robot team would provide at least 2 adult volunteers at every event. For this league, we require each team to provide 1 volunteer that can be trained on the initial ranking session and attend ALL SESSIONS. Teams will be asked to submit a name and email (via form) for their volunteer. Volunteers will be provided with information via email. Anyone else interested in volunteering can contact Kelly Thomas ([email protected]).
There are lots of different roles that need to be filled, with varying degrees of expertise and physical activity. Check out the 'Volunteer Roles Overview.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If conditions require (a hurricane, for instance), the ranking session will be CANCELLED. We will attempt to reschedule any cancelled ranking sessions or add additional time to existing ranking session dates. There will be NO REFUNDS.
Refund and Payment Policies
Refunds* will ONLY be issued in the cases of the entire League Event (ALL Ranking sessions) cancellation.
According to RECF policy, $5.00 of each registration is used by their organization for processing and is NOT REFUNDABLE.
Not paying by the payment dealine gives the Event Partner the right to move your team to the waitlist.
Judging Format
All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
- Engineering Notebooks must be submitted electronically to RobotEvents on January 31, 2025.
- Those teams in consideration for Judges awards may have another in-person interview at the final ranking session (Feb. 12, 2025) if determined necessary by the Judge Advisor.
