HSA Columbus Elmentary School invites you to compete in this VIQRC Rapid Relay event. This is a Blended event, so all teams are welcome! It will be held in the Elementary School Gym

We look forward to seeing you there! 

Lunch:

Concessions will be available all day for lunch and snacks. 

Note: One large cheese pizza will be free for each team. Additions will be chargeable.

Pizza Pre-Orders will be available for additions.  Order forms will be posted closer to the event.

Once the order is placed, concessions will handle all payments and distribution of orders. 

 

Any team not paid within two weeks of the event will be transferred to the waitlist.

Please make sure all participants and coaches have filled out the online participants release form because the REC  all teams have submitted the required online form.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, we will make every attempt to contact all coaches by email, phone or text, as well as make announcements through social media of any changes of the event or the event schedule. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Registration fees minus the $5 REC processing fee per team will be issued if the event is canceled. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

There will be no refunds for individual team cancelations. 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
