General Info

We are excited to welcome you to our Taft Middle School in Winfield, Indiana.  Our facilities are amazing and we hope you will enjoy competiting here! 

This is an Official Indiana VEX IQ State Qualifying Event.   Awards will be added the beginning of November.

Early Bird Registration will be used this year. The first three events selected will count toward Early Bird and cannot be changed once used.

Any team not paid by December 16th will be transferred to the waitlist and that space will be offered to a team on the wait list. 

All payments for entry fees MUST be in advance. Payments not accepted at the door.

Concessions announcement will be posted here by mid October.  Concessions WILL be available at the event.  We will be doing a group pizza order with more details to come as the event gets closer.

Please make sure all participant and coaches have filled out the online participants release form.  The REC Foundation now requires all Event Partners to check to make sure all teams have submitted the required online form.

Code of Conduct

This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on Robotevents.com where I will post updates about the event status as needed in the General description. Please feel free to contact me by phone (708) 466-4374 if you are going to be late to the event due to weather delays.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

We will attempt to reschedule any canceled event and credit you toward that or future events held at Taft Middle School.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will not be given.

 

Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline is Friday, December 20th, 2024 prior to winter break..
