General Info

The Rinse and Repeat League is an invitational league in San Antonio, Texas. We have ranking sessions in Nov, Dec, and Jan with our finals on Jan 11.

The sole purpose of this league is to provide an ample opportunity for the teams to better develop their robots through using the engineering design process.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda

Ranking Sessions will start with quick robot inspections as sooon as teams arrive so we can start on time.

Six Ranking Sessions (on a Monday or Tuesday Night): roughly 5:00 - 7:15 pm (using 2 fields)

Nov 11 (8-10 teams assigned with 4-5 qualification matches per team) A group + B group

Nov 12 (8-10 teams assigned with 4-5 qualification matches per team) C group + D group

Dec 9 (8-10 teams assigned with 4-5 qualification matches per team)  A group + D group

Dec 10  (8-10 teams assigned with 4-5 qualification matches per team) B group +  C group

Jan 6 (8-10 teams assigned with 4-5 qualification matches per team) B group + D group  

Jan 7 (8-10 teams assigned with 4-5 qualification matches per team) A group + C group 

Finals Session with the top ten teams (or top 50%): Sat Jan 11 from 8:00 - 12:00 or 9:00 - 12:00

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, the ranking sessions may be cancelled. 

We will reschedule, hopefully by the following week or at a date/time agreeable to the group.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: a refund (minus the processing fee) will be issued only if the League fails to reach it's Final session 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: no refund will be issued

 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Engineering Notebook digital submission DEADLINE: Jan 9, 2024 by 4:00pm.
