Welcome to the SVVSD Sunset Middle School 2024-2025 Rapid Relay Tournament. We look forward to hosting you! Please look at the agenda for the day to know to help your teams be ready for the tournament. 

 To help support our tournament, we are asking all teams to have a person volunteer., Check out the Volunteer Tab for more information!

Refunds will be available up to two weeks prior to the event, minus the $5.00 non-refundable RobotEvents Fee.

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Submission Deadline for Notebooks will be Thursday Dec. 12th by 3pm.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

8:00 am - 8:30am  Team Check-in, Inspection 

8:30 -8:35am    Meeting to discuss logistics and plan for the day

8:40  AM - 10:40AM       Finish Robot Inspection, Juding Interviews and Skills Matches

10:45 AM - 10:55 AM   Event Meeting - all teams meet by main fields 

10:55 am - 12:15 PM   Qualifications Matches. (skills open till the end of lunch)

12:15 PM - 12:45 PM  Lunch 

12:45 PM - 3:00 PM   Qualifications and  Finals Matches Skills end after qualifiers

3:15 PM - 3:30 PM      Awards Presentation

Volunteer

Jobs we are looking for:

  • Check In Table

  • Robot Inspection - will be train onsite 

  • Queuing Manager

  • Pit Manager

  • Field Reset (3rd Grade and up!)

  • Scorekeeping Refs

  • Judges

 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy


In case of INCLEMENT WEATHER (as determined by SVVSD) the tournament will be canceled and no refunds will be available.

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment Deadline:

Payments for this tournament are due the Tuesday prior to the event @ 4:00 PM MST 


If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

  • Refunds will be available up to two weeks prior to the event, minus the $5.00 non-refundable RobotEvents fee.
  • If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 
    •  Refunds will be available up to two weeks prior to the event, minus the $5.00 non-refundable RobotEvents fee.
