Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

7:30 - Doors open

8:00 - check-in and inspection begins

9:00 - inspection closes

9:15 - Drivers meeting

9:30- Qualification matches begin/Skills opens

11:30 - Break for lunch

12:15 - Matches resume

2:00 - Elimination matches begin

3:00 - Awards/Clean up

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the case of incliment weather, coaches will be contacted via email as soon as possible. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event a refund will be issued to the teams at the earliest possible time.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

If a coach or mentor contacts the event partner to withdraw before November 30th to the event a refund shall be issued not including the RECF processing fee. 

If a team withdraws after November 30th, or is a no show on the day of refunds will not be issued.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
