General Info

Region 14 ESC and  Gear Box are excited to host the 2nd Annual West Texas Robot Rumble at Region 14 South Campus in Abilene, TX. We are looking forward to a great day of competition and meeting new people interested in VEX Robotics. Be prepared with batteries, chargers, and your license plates.

Lunch: We will take an hour break for lunch. I highly recommend picking up lunch or having it delivered to the ESC.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:45 AM                  Judges Interviews Begin

9:30 AM                  Driver Meeting

9:45 AM                  Practice Round and Teamwork Qualification Matches Begin (6-10 matches per team)

12:00 - 1:00 PM      Lunch

1:00 - 2:30 PM        Finish Qualification Matches

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will refund all entries if inclement weather requires us to cancel the competition.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event, refunds will be given as soon as possible.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, Refunds will generally not be given, but you can contact Luke Hurst if there is a special circumstance.

 

Judging Format

 

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
