General Info
We are excited to host our Robotics Tournament on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend at Percy L. Julian High School located at 225 Ann Street, Montgomery, AL.
The event will feature two competition fields and a skills field. We will be utilizing smart controls for all matches.
Refreshments will be available at the snack bar for a nominal fee. Please note that our school is cashless; all transactions must be made electronically.
Lunch:
We are having a fully catered lunch for our Tournament on Sat, January 18th for coaches, participants, and potentially parents. I have to place the order in advance. The cost will be $15 per person, I just need to know how many orders to make per team. You have to pay by check; we are a cashless school. Make all checks payable to Percy L. Julian High School Robotics Program. Mail the check to Telisa T. Warren , 225 Ann Street, Montgomery, AL 36107.
All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.
We look forward to a thrilling and successful tournament!

Payment Deadline and Registration Policy:
Team payments must be submitted by January 15, 2025. Any team that does not make payment by this date will be removed from the registered list without prior notice, and their spot will be offered to a team on the waitlist. Timely payment is crucial for coordinating travel arrangements.
Event Cancellation by Event Partner:
If the Event Partner cancels the event, we are unable to provide refunds to teams that have already made payments. However, paid fees may be applied toward a future Robotics event at Percy L. Julian High School (PJHS).
Withdrawal and Refund Policy:
Once registration is completed, refunds are not available if a Coach/Mentor withdraws or decides not to attend. Teams are advised to make payment only when they are fully committed to attending. Please note that teams unpaid by the deadline will be removed from the registered list without notification.
If a team needs to withdraw after payment has been made, PJHS may consider transferring the registration fee to another PJHS hosted event.
Health and Safety Policies
At the Montgomery Area Robotics VRC High Stakes MS/HS Event, the health and safety of all participants is our top priority. Although we will not have a nurse or EMS professional on-site, basic first aid supplies will be available for immediate use. We recommend that all attendees familiarize themselves with the location of the first aid kit and procedures for addressing minor injuries or health concerns. In the event of a serious medical emergency, attendees should contact local emergency services immediately. Please ensure that all participants are aware of their personal medical needs and that any necessary medications are readily accessible.
