General Info

Welcome to Hope's Spooktacular Bot Battle!  We are excited about hosting this event and can't wait to see all the robots from across Arkansas!

The tournament will be held at William Jefferson Clinton Primary at 601 Lakeshore Dr, Hope, AR 71801. 

We are only accepting physical notebooks at the tournament. Please contact [email protected] if your team has a field and elements that you would be willing to lend to the tournament for a discounted registration fee. 

We will have a concession with drinks and snacks, along with lunch options that will be posted closer to the tournament date.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer

Bring a field and game elements for use in the tournament for one discounted registration. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of emergency or bad weather, the event will be postponed to a later date. Registration will transfer to a later event, refunds will occur only if the event is canceled. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be issued if the event is not rescheduled. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds will be issued if the team withdraws or does not attend.

Judging Format

 

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
