General Info

Portland West Middle School is proud to welcome teams to the Mechanoid Clash.

Mechanoid Clash is a starter tournament for new teams.  This fun event is open to all VEX IQ teams with any level of experience.  It offers a low stress, fun atmosphere to start the new season.

There will be NO JUDGED AWARDS at this event.  Teams will be able to experience the interview process, learn basic competition schedules/processes and put their new bots to practice.   Skills challenges will also be available.

At this event, students will be encouraged to “dress up” their bot, Halloween style!  The bot must still be functioning for Rapid Relay and still meet Vex IQ measurements for competition.   There will be special prizes for robot costumes/themes.  Come and show us your CREATIVE engineering!

Free T-shirt with Team names included for all team members with registration.

Additional information regarding directions, campus maps, times, and food information will be emailed to registered teams and posted on Robotevents closer to the event date.  If you have questions, please email [email protected]

Participants are required to submit the VEX liability release form through robotevents.com

If the event is full, please add your team to the wait list.
