Barker College is pleased to present the VIQC – Tournament on Friday September 13th.

This event will be hosted by Barker College at the Multi-Purpose Hall on the Barker campus in Waitara, NSW, Australia.

Street Parking is available and entry is best from the Clarke Rd Gates.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

This competition is NOT open to the PUBLIC, only students and teachers/coaches is allowed as it is a normal school day.

Preliminary schedule

9:00am  - Doors open for registration, Pits.
9:00am – 10:00am Robot Inspection
9:45am – Team Briefing (including Driver’s meeting)
10:15am – Start Qualification Matches
11:30am – Lunch
12:00pm – Qualification Matches
15:00pm – Finish Qualification Matches
15:30pm - Alliance selection
15:45pm - Start Playoffs
16:30pm – Closing ceremony
17:00pm - Pack up

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of extreme weather conditions the event will be cancelled. Organisers will do their best to give advance notice where possible.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Full Refund.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Teams that cancel 10 days before an event are entitled to a refund.  Cancellations with less then 10 days notice will forfeit the registration fee.

 

Judging Format

  • All in person Juding Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
