General Info

Welcome to Hope's Robotic Cupid Shuffle!  We are excited about hosting this event and can't wait to see all the robots from across Arkansas!

The tournament will be held at Clinton Primary School in Hope, Arkansas. 

We are only accepting physical notebooks at the tournament. Please contact [email protected] if your team has a field and elements that you would be willing to lend to the tournament for a discounted registration fee. 

We will have a concession with drinks and snacks, along with lunch options that will be posted closer to the tournament date.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer

Bring a field and game elements for use in the tournament for one discounted registration. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the case of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled if road conditions prohibit travel for a majority of the teams. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

The event will be rescheduled. If the event is unable to be rescheduled, $50 will be refunded. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

  •  All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.  Initial Interviews and Notebook submission deadlines may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
