General Info
Welcome!
This is Minnesota's State Championship for Elementary School teams. This event is the largest event in Minnesota, with teams from high school, middle school, and elementary school competing under one roof at the St. Cloud River's Edge Convention Center.
Qualification: Teams will be sent an invite through RobotEvents as they qualify at events throughout the season. Teams will have 2 weeks to register before this invitation expires. A team must have posted a skills score -OR- have competed in a qualifying event in the current season to be eligible for an Event Region Championship invitation.
As the Championship nears, coaches please watch for additional information via email. All the most up-to-date information regarding food, reminders, etc. will be published here on RobotEvents for teams and families.
Hotel Block: We do have a hotel block at the Best Western Plus Kelly Inn - mention VEX Robotics when booking to receive the block rate.
Registration Fee: All teams must have the registration fee paid prior to attending the State Championship.
Competition Preparation: Teams should come prepared to compete. Review the Rapid Relay Game Manual, run through the Robot Inspection Checklist, and ensure your team is running the latest programming and firmware version.

Teams who have digital notebooks will need to print off the most recent version for judges to review. Judge interviews will take place in-person at the team's booth in the pit area.
Participation and Consent Form: All team members, coaches and adult mentors should fill out the online consent form which is good all season and for all RECF run events. A link to the instructions for online consent form can be found here.
Lunch & Concessions: Lunch will be on your own. No outside food can be brought into the Convention Center. On-site concession information will be shared with teams prior to the Championship.
Finals Matches: Per the Full Volume Game Manual sections and we will be playing Finals Matches sequentially, starting with the lowest-ranked Alliance. Each Alliance will participate in one (1) Finals Match. The Alliance with the highest Finals Match score is the Teamwork Challenge champion.
