General Info

This event will be held at Sulphur Springs Middle School, in the Cafeteria and Competition Gym.  

Our physical address is 835 Wildcat Way Sulphur Springs, TX 75482

Doors will open at 8:30 am and check-in will begin at 9:00 am.  

There will be seating for spectators in the gym. Cameras will be connected to video screens to make the action easier to view for audience.

Pit area for teams will be in the cafeteria.  

Concessions will be available all day and for lunch.  More info to come.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency or weather-related closure, we will contact registered teams. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

All registered teams will receive refunds minus the $5 processing fee/registration from RobotEvents.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be issued up to 14 days prior to the event.  Refunds will not be issued after that time except in the case of extenuating circumstances.

Travel Info

Please pull into the back, larger parking lot on the south side of the building.  Those doors will be the doors used that day for team and spectator entry/exit.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
