General Info

Please join us at Morgan Road Middle School for a fun filled day with the VEX IQ Full Volume competition. 

  • Fields 
    • 2 match fields to ensure the competition runs smoothly and quickly. 
    • 1 skills field will be setup for the sntire day to ensure teams have plenty of time to get in their 3 driver and 3 autonomous skills attempts.
    • 1 practice field will be setup for the entire day to allow teams to hone in their strategy before matches begin. 
  • Pits  
    • Each team will have a pt area with tables and chairs. We will have as many charging startions as possible, however not every table will have outlets available. 
  • Displays 
    • We will have one display for skills and team match scores setup throughout the day. 
  • Food 
    • Lunch will not be provided s make sure to plan accordingly.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of impending bad weather, we will work with the host site to determine if the event can be held on the regularly scheduled day and time.  If the event cannot continue on its original schedule, every effort will be made to either keep the event on the same day with an adjusted schedule or reschedule the event to a different date and/or location.  Updates will be provided via email and posted to the event webpage on RobotEvents.com.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be provided to each team. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will not be given. 

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
