General Info

Thank you for registering for the 3rd annual Centennial Middle School VIQC Tournament! 

This is a blended tournament, Elementary and Middle School Teams are encouraged to participate.

We currently plan on having enough volunteers for the tournament, should that change you will receive an email asking for your help with any positions that need to be filled.  Stay tuned for more information on lunch availability, and contact me for any requests regarding lodging.

Refunds will be available up to two weeks before the tournament date, minus the $5 Robotevents fee.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

8:00am - 9:00am Team check-in.

8:15am - 8:30am Referees meeting; judges meeting.

8:00am - 9:15am Robot inspection

9:15am - 9:30am Kickoff Meeting/Opening remarks

9:30am-12:00pm Qualification rounds

12:00pm - 12:30pm Lunch

12:30pm - 2:15pm   Finish qualification matches & Finals matches

We hope to have all volunteer positions covered locally.  If that is not the case you will be contacted to volunteer via a link posted on this page.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of poor weather, especially issues travelling from the front range, we reserve the right to cancel the tournament and offer refunds as outlined in the refund policy.  

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be issued via check and mailed to each team

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be issued via check minus the $5 RobotEvents fee

Judging Format

Team interviews will be completed in-person at the event.

Notebooks will be judged remotely, teams will submit their notebooks digitally via a link provided at least one week prior to the tournament.  The link as well as the due date will be sent to teams via email.
