General Info
-
Welcome to FAMU Full Volume ES&MS VEX IQ Regional Scrimmages!
-
In order to participate, your team(s) must also be registered for the FAMU Full Volume Regional Finale.
-
Please register for EACH scrimmage in which your team(s) will participate.
- Please See Travel Information for exact location. The location alternates between Fairview and FAMU DRS!
- We are excited to have your team participate in one or more of these scrimmages.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only 20 teams will be accepted for each scrimmage. 40 teams can compete in the Finale Tournament in January.
If more than 20 register for the same date, the Event Partners reserve the discretion to select the teams that will participate. Most likely it will be decided by first come, first served. But the EP's would like to ensure that teams that have not yet participated in a scrimmage have the opportunity to do so.
--------------------------------
NO OUTSIDE FOOD MAY BE BROUGHT ON CAMPUS as per principals. Food or snacks will be available at a modest price at a concession stand or by pre-ordering. For more information, contact the event sponsor of that specific event.
________________________
Why do you have free scrimmages but must pay for the Finale?
The fee for the scrimmages is included in the fee for the finale. A team may register for a scrimmage, but must register and pay the fees, not only to the VEX foundation for each team, but also for the FAMU Finale before participating in a scrimmage. The registration for the Finale is at https://www.robotevents.com/admin/eventEntities/52920/edit. A team may not participate in scrimmages without registering and paying for the Finale.
WHY? The Event Partners would like to allow teams to register for only one or more scrimmages because the VIQRC is relatively new in this area, and because many teams may not have a robot ready until later in the year. Some teams might participate only in scrimmages or only in the Finale. This is an unusual situation. Each team must ensure that the team is registered and has paid for the Finals so that we can keep the scrimmages 'free' - or included in the price of the Finale.

Notebooks are not required but make a team eligible for certain awards if well done.
There will be no judging during the scrimmages but there will be interviews and judging of Notebooks at the Finale in January Keep your team's notebook updated during the season, to be well prepared for the Finale.
