General Info
This is the state qualifying event located in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona.This is a great opportunity to practice and improve your skills rankings while learning about the local culture and meet new friends.
All participants, coaches and volunteers need to sign and submit a release form for VEX Robotics. You can download the VEX release form here: https://www.roboticseducation.org/documents/2018/03/participant-release-form.pdf and upload for the tournament or complete and bring with you. Instructions for uploading are on the link listed above.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The weather in Whiteriver in January can include snow and ice. It is however, 5186 ft elevation whereas Pinetop is at 6,804 ft. Local hotels are in the adjacent communities of Hon Dah, Pinetop-Lakeside or Show Low; which has a higher chance of heavier snow than Whiteriver. Please keep an eye on the weather if you are traveling.
The event could be delayed up to two hours to accomodate visiting teams if there is inclimate weather causing delays in getting to the venue.
Whiteriver can be reached from either the South through Globe and the Salt River Canyon or from the North out of Show Low/Hon Dah. From Phoenix, Show Low can be reached from Globe on Highway 77 or Payson on Highway 87 and 260.
Refund and Payment Policies
If you are unable to attend due to the weather, you will receive all except $5.00 refunded. If you wish to cancel for other reasons, you will receive a full refund except for $5.00 if canceling at least one week prior to the scheduled date.

Canyon Day Junior High is 25 miles south of Pinetop/Lakeside and 5 miles south of Whiteriver, Arizona.
You may reach the venue from the South through Globe or driving through Show Low and heading South on highway 73.

Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
