General Info

Hawks Vex IQ ES tournament

At this event, we will have 2 State Spots: 2 Teamwork Champions. There will be additional trophies for Skills Champion awards. 

Concessions and Lunch

At this time, concessions will not be available for Snacks and Lunch.  We will notify teams if this changes.

Stephen Decatur Elementary School is located within short driving distance of a variety of restaurants, including Subway, McDonalds, and Arby's.

Participation and Consent:

A completed form for all participants must be turned in during check-in. Team leaders will need to collect the completed forms for all team members attending the event and turn them in to the registration desk when checking in, unless online forms have been completed.

Payments:

All payments for entry fees MUST be in advance. Payments not accepted at the door.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will attempt to reschedule the tournament if cancelled for inclement weather.

Teams will be notified as soon as possible via e-mail and the REC event site if the tournament is cancelled. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will be issued (minus the $5 REC fee) upon request if the tournament is cancelled or rescheduled and teams are not able to make it to the rescheduled date.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

There will not be a refund issued if the coach decides to withdraw. 

Judging Format

There will be no judging at the tournament.
