The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Ways You Can Contribute:

  • Judging: Become a judge and assess the innovative robots, design, and teamwork of participating teams.

  • Field Supervision: Oversee competition fields and assist teams during matches.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the heart of Indiana, where January ushers in winter's icy embrace, we're gearing up for an event that promises to thaw the chill with excitement and camaraderie.

We're all too aware of January's frosty grip, but rest assured, we're determined to host this competition in the depths of winter. If, by some twist of fate, we must reschedule due to weather or ongoing COVID-19 uncertainties, we'll do right by you. We'll return your registration fees, keeping just $5.00 for administrative expenses and postage.

So, prepare for a January showdown like no other. Come rain, snow, or sunshine, we're ready to deliver a competition that'll leave you with warm memories to chase away the winter

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: In the event of a cancellation we will try to reschedule the event. If it cannot be reschedueled we will refund the tournament fee minus the $5.00 REC fee.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: no refund will be given.
Registration fees will not be refunded if teams do not cancel by 12/15/2023


All teams need to be present and checked in prior to the start of the competition (no later than 8:30 am). Refunds will not be issued to teams who arrive after competition rounds have begun. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
