General Info
Manistee Catholic Central Sabers are excited to announce our VEX IQ Tournament!
This Tournament is for both Elementary and Middle School teams with spots available to advance to the Michigan State Championship.
Skills Challenges will be first come first served with up to three programming and three driving attempts.
Registration Information
All participating teams must be registered with VEX Robotics and the Robot Events website and have an official team number before registering for this event. Tournament fees must be paid before teams are allowed to compete. Registration and payments should be made through the Robot Events website.
Lunch and Concessions
Full concessions will be available from 9 am to 3 pm. Lunch specials will be announced.
Finals Matches
Up to 16 teams will be paired up and participate in Finals matches.
Competition Preparation
All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.

Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. Robots must use VEX IQ parts. Please self inspect before arriving at the tournament using the IQ Robot Inspection Checklist

Pack for the event the day before the day of departure. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.

Remember that safety comes first, please don't partake in actions that would pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby, as teams are close to each other in the venue pit area.

Ensure that you have the latest version of programming software and firmware for your IQ Brain.
Participation and Consent Form
A completed form for all participants must be uploaded to robotevents.com prior to the tournament. Team leaders will need to check that all team members attending the event have completed the online consent form prior to the tournament. - 9:45am Qualification Rounds Begin and SKILLS Field Open
- 11:30am Lunch Break (Skills will be closed during lunch)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on Robotevents.com where we will post updates about the event status as needed.
Please feel free to contact Laura 231-690-6700 if you are going to be late for the event.
Match Lists will be generated as scheduled and cannot be re-run.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Teams will be refunded minus $5 from REC processing
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
If you need to withdraw from the event before the event deadline, and produce an invoice showing payment, will be considered for a partial refunded (minus processing fee), at our earliest convenience.
Teams that withdraw between the event deadline and the day of the event will receive NO refund (unless determined by the Event Partner that there are extenuating circumstances).
