General Info

Kentucky State VEX IQ Tournament is open to Elementary VEX IQ teams that have qualified for this event.   An organized pizza order will be available, as well as concessions. No outside food will be permitted.

ONLY TEAM MEMBERS AND COACHES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE PIT AREA. Please make any parents travelling to the tournament aware.

Judging Format:  In-Person Interviews (Interviews will have scheduled times in the morning at your pit area)

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event will be rescheduled if canceled due to bad weather. Teams will be notified of cancellation through the e-mail address provided in RobotEvents during registration.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

The event will be rescheduled.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Teams will receive a full refund minus the $5 REC Foundation processing fee unless it is past the Closed Registration date. 

Judging Format

 

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
