The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Agenda is subject to change. Participants and adult chaperones may stay and play at DISCOVERY at no cost.
Volunteer
We are seeking volunteers for the following positions: Queuing and Judges
Please reach out to Laura Christian at [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering for this event. Volunteers will each recieve four complimentary passes to DISCOVERY for their service. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day for volunteers, and lunch will be served to volunteers as well.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
This event will be held indoors. We will communicate via email if unforeseen circumstances prevent us from hosting the event.
Refund and Payment Policies
No refunds will be provided for cancellations after registration, as the Museum incurs costs to reserve the competition space.
In the event that DISCOVERY Children's Museum cancels the competition due to unforeseen circumstances, full refunds will be provided to all registered teams.
Health and Safety Policies
Hand Sanitation Stations:
While hand washing is the recommended practice to reduce the spread of germs, hand sanitation stations will also be available onsite in the event space, and additional air filtration systems will be in place.

Mask Policy:
Face coverings are optional. Disposable masks will be available onsite.
Judging Format
In-Person Judging: Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebooks to submit to the judges.
