General Info

MCCTC is happy to host the inaugural Mahoning Valley VEX IQ Tournament, Full Volume.  

This will be a blended event for middle and elementary schools this season.  We hope to separate the events in the proceeding years.  We will have 2 competition fields, one practice field, and one dedicated skills field.  

Food will be provided for all participants and coaches.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Coaches will be notified in the event that we need to cancel or postpone due to inclement weather.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

In the event that the tournament is canceled by the Event Partner, a full refund minus the $5 RECF fee will be sent to the coach/mentor on file.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds will be available in the event the coach or mentor needs to pull the team(s) from the tournament.  Please understand that the food and other expenses are taken care in advance of the event.

 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
