General Info

David Scharfenberg (HRVMS) and Lu Seapy (Wasco County 4-H) will be hosting League Nights on Wednesday evenings in October, November, & December for Mid-Columbia VIQRC teams. This is an invitation only unofficial event series that does not advance any teams to the OR State VEX IQ Championships.

Wednesdays: October 25, November 8, December 6
Doors open at 3:30 pm. League play starts promptly at 4:00 – 6:00 pm

Required: 

  1. Helping with the league is easy and required. Any coach bringing teams must help with general competition duties. These are simple and take little/no training (entering scores on a phone, queuing teams, helping with inspection, etc).

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

4:00 -5:50 pm - Teamwork challenge matches

5:50 pm  -Clean up and Closing Announcements

Volunteer

Contact Lu Seapy, [email protected] to volunteer. Volunteers are currently needed to serve as queuing help, referees, robot inspection, and VEX Tournament Manager operation.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of impending bad weather, we will work with the host site to determine if the event can be held on the regularly scheduled day and time.  If the event cannot continue on its original schedule, every effort will be made to either keep the event on the same day with an adjusted schedule or reschedule the event to a different date and/or location.  Updates will be provided via email and posted to the event webpage on RobotEvents.com.

Refund and Payment Policies

This is a free event. Please help Wasco 4-H keep it that way and don't register extra teams that won't be coming. 

Health and Safety Policies

All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.
