Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If an event is going to be cancelled due to inclement weather or natural disaster, all teams will be notified via email (at least 24 hours in advance if possible).

Teams should make sure their contact information is up to date in Robotevents and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

No refunds after 10/29/2023 unless we can fill your spot with another team from the Waiting List. 

You will need to pay in advance prior to the event by 11/3/2023 or your spot may be forfeited.  If you wish to pay in person the day of the event, contact Jon Andrew as soon as you complete registration on Robotevents.

Any refunds will be processed after the event at the event partner's discretion. 

Registration contains a $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is not refundable

Teams are responsible for their own transportation and hotel costs. 

Health and Safety Policies

The following precautions will be recomended and applied at the discretion of the event planners.

1) Wearing of face masks will be strongly encouraged

2) Social distancing when possible. Pit tables and Que points will be distanced when possible

3) Lincoln Center bay doors will be open to allow greater air flow

Please use this map to identify parking. 

Use this map to navigate to the Lincoln Center on the CHS campus.

Vehicles with robots and tools willb be alllowed to park next to the Lincoln Center Gym.

All other vehicles will be asked to park in the northwestern parking lot adjacent to Inspire HS and Chico HS campuses or on the street.

Judging Format

In Person Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Physical engineering notebooks need to be brought to the event. Students will not have access to the notebook during the competition as the Judges will be reviewing them.
