Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

8:00 am - Team Check-in and Inspection begin, Skill Fields Open

9:00 am - Tournament Meeting, Welcome

9:30 am - Qualification Matches Begin

11:30 am - Lunch Break

12:30 pm - Qualification Matches Resume (Skills will end with Qualification)

1:30 pm - Playoffs Begin

2:00 pm - Awards and Closing Ceremony

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Event is indoors.  Weather should not be an issue. 

Refund and Payment Policies

Payment deadline is January 2, 2024

If the Event Partner cancels the event:  Full refund, minus the $5 RobotEvent fee. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:  NO REFUND

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.  Notebooks must be submitted by January 2, 2024.

In order to be considered for the Innovate award, please include a completed copy of the Innovate Award Submission Form, found on page 42 in the Guide to Judging, https://roboticseducation.org/documents/2023/06/guide-to-judging.pdf/ .  Place a copy of the completed form in the design notebook as described on the form.
