Nowata schools is so excited to host thier first VIQRC Event.  We are hoping to get enough teams to register for the Elementary Only Event, but if we don't then we will combine it with this Middle School Event. 

So sign up now before the spots fill up.  If the spots are all full then join the waitlist.

Volunteer

If each organization could provide a single volunteer, that would help immensely in ensuring the competition runs smoothly, and that every team is represented at the event.  Please have your team's volunteer email me ASAP, but no later than the Thursday before the competition so that they can be assigned a job.

If they have a preference or experience in a particular job have them please let me know in the email.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency or bad weather we will attempt to reschedule and team contacts will be notified.  

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

If the event is canceled due to not enough teams then all teams will be refunded thier registration fees.  If the event is cancelled due to weather conditions the event will attempt to be rescheduled.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will not be given except under the most unavoidable circumstances.  Be sure to check scheduling conflicts prior to registration.  In the case of emergencies, registration may be applied towards a future event hosted by Nowata.  Please contact the event partner ASAP if something comes up.

Health and Safety Policies

Masks or other face coverings and social distancing are highly encouraged.  Gloves will be worn by all staff and volunteers in the concession stand.  If you have exhibitted any symptoms of COVID-19, or been around anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19, please get a negative test before coming to our event. We want to make sure to stop the spread of this virus as much as possible.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
