This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Teams will be notified as early as possible if it is determined that bad weather will cause a change in event-day plans.  In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to reschedule for a later date.  If teams are not able to attend the rescheduled date, entry fee refunds will be issued.

Refund and Payment Policies

No refunds will be given unless the event must be canceled and cannot be rescheduled due to inclement weather or restrictions that are suddenly put in place. If the event cannot be rescheduled, a refund will be given less the $5 that the REC must keep in order to cover their processing fees. For example, a refund of $40 would be given for an event that costs $45. If you have any questions about this policy, please reach out to the event partner.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
