General Info
This is a family friendly community event where scholars collaborate and compete with their peers. We welcome you to come compete, meet new scholar engineers/their families, and have a great time!
LOCATION:
- This event will be held at Machado Elementary School at 15150 Joy Street, Lake Elsinore.
PARKING:
- Parking is available in front of the school and next door to the city park.
REGISTRATION AT EVENT:
- Coaches, please check in at the registration table at the school front gate. You will then head into our quad area to find your teams' building/meeting area. If it is raining, you will be assigned an indoor space for your team to collaborate.
COMPETITION & PRACTICE SPACES:
- We will have two competitions fields set up in our MPR. The MPR is located right next to the team meeting areas.
- A practice field will be available outside the MPR for teams to alternate turns to practice.
CHARGING STATION:
- A charging station will be set up near the team meeting area. Please make sure to label your batteries and charger with your team's name and # to avoid confusion.

RESTROOMS:
- Restrooms are located in the quad near the MPR and team building areas.
CONCESSIONS:
- A cash snack bar will be available. This includes donuts, coffee, hot chocolate, candy, and chips.
MEALS:
- Donuts, coffee, and hot chocoloate will be sold at the snack bar.
- Lunch will be provided, however there are several local fast food restaurants near Machado Elementary. This includes Jack in the Box, Taco Bell/Kentucky Fried Chicken, Del Taco, SS Burger Basket, and Little Cesar's Pizza. El Comal restaurant offers delicious Mexican/Salvadoran food, but keep in mind the competition schedule.

Volunteer
The VIQC Machado Robotics League works in partnership with local high schools/middle schools to coordinate volunteer service hours to manage competition events. Machado parent volunteers also support robotic events.
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy:
Competitions will take place inside our school mulitipurpose room. Teams will be assigned a team work space outside in our quad area. Practice fields are also available in the quad area. In the case of bad weather, teams and practice fields will be assigned to an indoor area on campus nearest to the MPR. In the case of emergency, school administration will provide direction to all present and coordinate with appropriate services/authorities for the safety and well being of all participants and attendees.
Refund and Payment Policies
Refund and Payment Policies:
This event will be held rain or shine.
If for some reason, an emergency situation requires that the event be rescheduled, all registered teams will be notified.
There are no refunds should a participating team coach/mentor chooses to withdraw or not attend.
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
