General Info

This is an Official Indiana VEX IQ State Qualifying Event that will offer State Qualification Spots. State-Qualifying awards given will be the Excellence Award and Alliance Teamwork Champions to the top two teams. A Robot Skills Champion Award will be given as well.  Non-qualifying awards for Judges given will be Design, Innovate, Think, Build, Create, Judges, Inspire, Energy and Sportsmanship.

Any team not paid by December 20, 2023 will be removed and that space will be offered to a team on the waitlist.

The Marion Justice Giant Athletic Department will be running concessions as a fundraiser. Breakfast items  will be available and pizza by the slice will be available for lunch. Popcorn, hot dogs, coffee, various beverages, and other snacks will be available all day. Menu is subject to change.

Participation and Consent:

A completed form for all participants must be turned in during check-in. Team leaders will need to collect the completed forms for all team members attending the event and turn them in to the registration desk when checking in. The consent form is located in the Documents tab of this event. Alternatively, forms may be submitted online through Robot Events prior to the competition.

The day of registration check-in deadline is 9:30 am; teams not checked in by that time will be removed from the event and will not be included in the match list. Call 765-661-9781 if you have some issue getting to the event on time the day of.

All payments for entry fees MUST be in advance. Payments will not be accepted at the door.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on where I will post updates about the event status as needed. Please feel free to contact me by phone (765-661-9781) if you are going to be late to the event. Match Lists will be generated at 9:30am and cannot be re-run.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Event payments are expected when you register for the event and must be completed by December 20, 2023. At that time, un-paid teams will be removed from the event to allow teams on the wait list to register. Please contact Megan McAdams (765-661-9781) if there are considerations to be made.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

All requests for refunds must be made 2 weeks prior to the event. Refunds, if approved, will be processed ASAP following the event. Any refund will be less the $5-dollar processing fee. If the Coach/Mentor does not notify the EP within 2 weeks prior to the first event date, then the money will not be refunded. 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
