Thank you for your interest in Shelbyville Middle School's Last Chance VEX IQ State Qualifier!

Any team not paid within two weeks of the event will be transferred to the waitlist.

Concessions will be available all day for lunch and snacks.  We will be doing group pizza orders with more details to come as the event gets closer. There will also be a hospitality room and catered lunch for all coaches. 

Please make sure all participant and coaches have filled out the online participants release form because the REC now requires all Event Partners to check to make sure all teams have submitted the required online form.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer

We welcome volunteers for our event! If you are intersted in volunteering, please email [email protected]. We are looking for help with queuing, judging, and field reset, For those volunteering, a background form will need to be filled-out in advance of the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the weather cancels schools, our event will be cancelled, we will use the guidance of the school principal on the day of the event. We reseve the right to cancel up to 6 hours prior to the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: full refund will be issued minus the $5 that is used for processing.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: no refund will be given. 

 

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should submit a digital copy of their notebook for the judges to review.
