Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer

Volunteers are what make VEX events happen.  Our biggest need for each event are judges, and no experience is needed.  Volunteers receive an event shirt, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.  Contact the James Jobe at [email protected] if you would lke to volunteer. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

All cancellations will be communicated through email. Please check your email the day before and the morning of the tournament (before leaving).  If neccessary, we will make every effort to reschedule the event.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

Lunch Pre-orders

The booster club for Chips, FRC team 324, will be offering concessions throughout the event.  Please help us help you plan ahead with lunch pre-orders.  Please only one pre-order per team (preferably only one per organization).  Deadline to preorder is 8:00AM CST Friday November 3rd.  Pre-payment via PayPal or Venmo is preferred, but we will take cash, check, or credit card at check-in as well.
