General Info

This event qualifies the winners of the event, for the California State Championship.
Food
Snack foods will be sold at the event (including pizza, bottled water, soda, potato chips, and breakfast foods).
Additionally, many teams will be ordering pizza for lunch through the event at a discounted price. you will receive directions on how to do this when you register for the event.
Pit Area
All teams will be provided a table and benches. There will be power strips available for charging VEX IQ batteries. Make sure to label all of your teams’ equipment with your name and/or team number.
Competition Preparation
This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few things to pack for the event the day before the day of departure.

LATE Arrivals
Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.

Skills matches will be available from 9:00 AM to the end of qualification games (Closed During Lunch).
Volunteer
Almost all of the volunteers for this event will come directly from Magnolia Science Academy.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Unless there is a major catastrophe (for example, a hurricane), the tournament will take place as scheduled.
In the case of extremely bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. In case of an emergency, we will individually reach out to all teams using any contact information required. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
In the event of an emergency during the event (for example, a fire), the school emergency procedures will be followed and everyone will be safely evacuated.
Refund and Payment Policies
Refunds are not typically issued for our events

If the tournament is cancelled, teams will be refunded all but the robotevents fees.
Judging Format
No judging
