General Info

Magikid Robotics Lab is a One-stop STEAM education center connecting our community with the cutting age of technology. 
Magikid Robotics Labs carefully screen various types of robots and programming methods, creates unique project-based learning courses, stimulates young learners' interests into passion, and provides them with more professional guidance for future success.

Live-streaming and on-site free wi-fi will be provided. Lunch will not be provided.

We hope to have some practice fields for teams but if you need a field please bring your own and we will do our best to fit as many as practice fields we can. 

Looking forward to hosting VEXIQ Teams at our MAGIKID CHINO HILLS LOCATION and good luck to every team this season.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Unless there is a major catastrophe (for example, a hurricane), the tournament will take place as scheduled.

In the case of extremely bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. In case of an emergency, we will individually reach out to all teams using any contact information required.  Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both email and phone numbers.

 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

All registration paid will be refunded. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Registration fees will be refunded only if cancellation is requested at least 2 weeks before the commencement of the event.

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
