Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Agenda is tentative, thank you for being flexible. Our goal is to have a fun and safe competition, as efficiently as possible.  

7:30 a.m. Doors Open, Teams can begin Check-in & Robot Inspection

8:30 a.m. All Teams General Briefing

8:45 a.m. Referee and Judges Briefing

9:00 a.m. Tournament and Skills Begins 

12:00 p.m. Tournament and Skills Ends

1:00 p.m. Awards

2:00 p.m. Cleanup & Breakdown

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event is indoors and will proceed rain, snow, or shine. Unless there is a power outage. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event we will refund 100% of your payment. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refunds will be given.

Payment must be received prior the event. If the payment is not received, your team/s will be removed from the event and your spot will be given to a team on the waitlist.

Judging Format

 

  •  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. All digital notebooks are due Saturday, October 21st by 8:30 am.
