Welcome to the California High Desert VEX IQ Challenge League West.  

The event takes place in Hesperia, Ca. We will be hosting a maximum of 21 elementary teams in our league.  This elementary league includes one practice event followed by three league events. The last event will include both the regular league event and the championship, which determines the league winners. Teams must participate in the three league events to qualify for state.

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

 

League events will be rescheduled if weather is an issue.

In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency.   Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your robotevents.com account, as this is the information that will be used to contact your team.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

No refunds are available after October 11, 2023.  Teams that have not paid by October 11th will be moved to the waiting list

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds are available after October 11, 2023.  Teams that have not paid by October 11tht will be moved to the waiting list

 

Judging Format

 

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
