General Info

The robotics teams from Tara Oaks Elementary are excited to be hosting the Tigerbots January Jamboree! 

Payment is due no later than December 29th, 2023. Teams that have not paid by 5:00 p.m. on that date will be removed in order to invite teams on the waitlist. 

Engineering Design Notebooks will only be accepted digitally for this event. Please upload a shareable notebook link to the team robot events account no later than noon on January 8th, 2024 in order to be considered for judged awards. 

Additional information regarding directions, campus maps, times, and food information will be emailed to registered teams closer to the tournament date.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email [email protected].

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Volunteer

In order to run a successful event, volunteers are needed in several areas. A sign up link will be emailed to the head coach of each registered team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the weather is severe enough to warrant cancellation of the event, notices will be sent as soon as possible to all participants. 

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by Tara Oaks Elementary. Refunds will not include the $5 processing fee assessed by Robot Events for processing.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: 

Registrations will not be refunded for teams that register but choose not to come.

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. All notebooks should be submitted online no later than noon on January 8th, 2024.
