Welcome to VEX in the 'Ville Presents Full Volume. The Sycamore Lion Bots are so excited to have you join us this season.

Please note that payment is due no later than January 17th, 2024. Teams that have not paid by 5:00 p.m. on that date will be removed in order to invite teams on the waitlist. 

Engineering Design Notebooks will only be accepted digitally for this event. Please upload a shareable notebook link to the team robot events account no later than noon on January  22nd, 2024 in order to be considered for judged awards.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

8:00-9:00 AM Check-In/Inspection
9:00 AM Drivers Meeting 
9:10 AM Skills fields open (closes approximately 2pm)
9:15-12:00 AM Qualification Matches
12:00-1:00 PM Lunch
1:00-3:00 PM Qualification Matches
3:30 PM Finals Matches
4:15 PM Awards Ceremony

Volunteer

In order to run a successful event, volunteers are needed in several areas. A sign up link will be emailed to the head coach of each registered team a few weeks prior to the tournament date. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the weather is severe enough to warrant cancellation of the event, notices will be sent as soon as possible to all participants and if possible, a reschedule date will be selected. 

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will only be made if the event is cancelled by Sycamore Elementary School. Refunds will not include the $5 processing fee assessed by Robot Events for processing.

Registrations will not be refunded for teams that register but choose not to attend.

 

Health and Safety Policies

Notebooks must be submitted no later than 12:00 p.m. January  22nd, 2024 to be considered for judged awards. 

Judging Format

 Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
