DC VEX IQ FULL VOLUME COMPETITION

DETAILS

  • This event will be held in-person

  • Interview Judging will be held in-person

  • Notebooks will be judged remotely - Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. All notebooks should be submitted by midnight on 10/31/2023. 

  • We will hold approximently 7 rounds of Teamwork Challenges along with Skills

  • There will be a practice table

  • Food will NOT be served at the venue, please make arrangements with your team to bring or order food 

LOCATION

  • Our tournament will be held in the Rita Bright Family and Youth Center, 2500 14th Street Northwest

  • There is street parking only so please plan accordingly 

  • Our event will be held from 10 to 2pm, teams should plan to arrive between 9:00-9:30 for inspection

  • Inspection will start at 9:00 am and the event should end by 2pm.

SCHEDULE

  • If a team does not show up, the timed schedule must be changed to reflect the team's present

  • The times are tentative and your team may perform earlier or later, please check the schedule once you arrive.

Code of Conduct

Agenda

8:30am - Doors Open

9:00-9:30am - Robot Inspections

9:45am - Opening Ceremony

10-12:30 - Teamwork Challenge, Skills Tables open and interviews begin

1:30 - Awards Ceremony

**Agenda will be updated closer to the event based on the number of teams registered.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This event will not be rescheduled in the case of bad weather.

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams who have not paid by the payment dealing will be moved to the waiting list

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be issued 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:  Please reach out [email protected]

Please note refunds will not include the $5 RobotEvents processing fee.

 

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions:  Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. The submission deadline for this event is by midnight on 10/31/2023. 

 

In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event.
