How to register

1. 本季2023-2024 VEX TAIWAN OPEN公開預賽採登記制，每場賽事開放28個名額，未開放賽隊直接報名該賽事。有意參賽的賽隊，請在報名開始後先加入到"waitlist”當中，待報名截止後會將登記的賽隊依序加到該場賽事。
   Prior registration is required to participate in the "2023-2024 VEX TAIWAN OPEN公開預賽" for this season. Each event will have 28 available spots, and teams not directly eligible for participation can register for the event. Teams interested in participating should first add to the "waitlist" once the registration opens. After the registration deadline, the teams on the waitlist will be conditionally and sequentially added to the respective event.

2. 公開預賽將開設多個場次，各場次的該區所屬賽隊享有優先加入到賽事的權利。報名期間，本會每2-3個工作天將確認各登記賽隊的報名資格，並將該區所屬賽隊的賽隊編號更新在"預定報名名單"中。若賽隊已在該名單中，即可開始繳費、繳交報名資料，以利在報名截止前完成所有報名流程。
   There are multiple events with teams from each respective region having the privilege of priority entry into the event. During the registration period, CACET will review the eligibility of each registered team every 2-3 working days and update the team numbers of the respective region in the "Reserved Registration List." If a team is listed in this roster, they can proceed with payment and submission of registration information to ensure the completion of all registration processes before the deadline.

3. 國小組各場次區域劃分如下。
   The regional divisions for the elementary school level are as follows:

   • 北部場劃分縣市：臺北市、新北市、基隆市、桃園市、新竹縣、新竹市、宜蘭縣。
     “北部場": Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City, Yilan County.

   • 中南部場劃分縣市：苗栗縣、臺中市、彰化縣、南投縣、雲林縣、嘉義縣、嘉義市、臺南市、高雄市、屏東縣、花蓮縣、台東縣、金門縣、連江縣及澎湖縣。
     "中南部場": Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Hualien County, Taitung County, Kinmen County, Lienchiang County, and Penghu County.

4. 報名截止後，若所有該區所屬賽隊都已加入賽事，且賽事尚未額滿，剩餘名額將開放給他區已登記該場賽事的賽隊，於期限內依照遞補順序與登記時間做遞補，額滿為止。遞補順序如下：
   After the registration deadline, if all teams from a specific region have joined the event and there are still available spots, the remaining spots will be offered to teams from other regions that have registered for the same session. These spots will be filled in order of priority and registration time within the given period, until the event reaches full capacity. The priority order for filling these slots is as follows:

   • 第一順位：尚未加入到任一場公開預賽的賽隊
     1st Priority: Teams that have not yet participated in any "公開預賽".

   • 第二順位：已有加入到任一場公開預賽的賽隊
     2nd Priority: Teams that have already participated in any "公開預賽".

5. 【範例】以2023-2024 VEX TAIWAN OPEN公開預賽國中組-南部場為例。
   Using the "2023-2024 VEX TAIWAN OPEN公開預賽國中組-南部場" as an example:
   
   假設在報名截止日前一天，該區所屬賽隊1101A、1101B、1101C，與非該區所屬賽隊1234A、1234B、1234C賽隊都依序登記在該場賽事中，且該場賽事沒有其他非該區的所屬賽隊登記。
   Assuming that on the day before the registration deadline, teams 1101A, 1101B, and 1101C from this region, as well as non-local teams 1234A, 1234B, and 1234C, have all registered sequentially for this event, and there are no registrations from non-local teams in this event.
   
   若賽事只剩餘1個名額，因「預定報名名單」會優先安排該區所屬賽隊，因此該名額會分配給1101A。未報名的該區所屬賽隊1101B、1101C，會在報名截止後依照在「2023-2024 VEX TAIWAN OPEN公開預賽國中組-南部場」的登記順序，確認是否參加其他區域的場次。至於非該區所屬賽隊1234A、1234B、1234C賽隊，因賽事已無多餘名額，不會做遞補。
   If there is only 1 spot remaining and the "Reserved Registration List" prioritizes local teams, then this spot will be allocated to 1101A. Unregistered local teams, 1101B and 1101C, will be reviewed after the registration deadline based on their registration order in the "2023-2024 VEX TAIWAN OPEN Open 公開預賽國中組-南部場" to determine their participation in other regional events. As for the non-local teams 1234A, 1234B, and 1234C, since there are no available spots left in the event, they will not be considered for backup.
   
   若賽事剩餘5個名額，其中3個名額會分配給該區所屬賽隊1101A、1101B、1101C。另外多餘2個名額，會在報名截止後依照遞補順位與登記時間，分配給非該區所屬賽隊。假設截至報名截止，本季VIQRC國中組的賽隊只剩1234C還未加入到任一場公開預賽，除此以外的所有賽隊(含1234A、1234B)都已加入到至少一場公開預賽，則名額將分配給1234C與1234A，1234B因已無名額不會做遞補。
   If there are 5 spots remaining, 3 of them will be allocated to the local teams 1101A, 1101B, and 1101C from this region. The additional 2 spots will be allocated after the registration deadline based on priority and registration time to non-local teams. For instance, assuming that by the registration deadline, only team 1234C from the VIQRC Middle School level has not yet participated in any ”公開預賽", and all other teams (including 1234A and 1234B) have joined at least one "公開預賽", the spots will be distributed to 1234C and 1234A. Team 1234B will not receive a backup spot as there are no available spots left.

6. 建議賽隊在報名期間，優先登記自己所屬區域的場次，以確保自己優先報名的權利。
   It is recommended that teams prioritize registering for the event in their respective regions during the registration period to ensure their priority registration rights.

7. 如賽隊已被排入「預定報名名單」，請勿在"waitlist”取消登記。取消者將視為取消報名，名額將會保留給其他賽隊。如賽隊被排入「預定報名名單」後要取消報名，自行取消”waitlist”登記即可。
   If a team has been listed on the "Reserved Registration List," please do not cancel the registration in the "waitlist." Cancellations will be considered as withdrawing from the registration, and the spot will be reserved for other teams. If a team needs to cancel the registration after being listed on the "Reserved Registration List," simply remove the registration from the "waitlist."

8. 報名費用、資料繳交期限：2023年10月19日 23:59 (GMT+8)
   Registration fee and document submission deadline: October 19, 2023, 23:59 (GMT+8).
   如截止前未完成繳費、繳資料，將視為取消報名，已加入到賽事的賽隊將被移回到"waitlist”當中。
   Failure to complete payment and document submission before the deadline will be considered as withdrawal from the registration, and teams that were initially registered for the event will be placed back on the "waitlist."
