General Info
Welcome to the 2024 Utah VEX IQ Robotics Challenge Full Volume Elementary State Championship! This year, we are going to "Turn it Up to Full Volume" at this fun, music themed competition.
The Elementary State Championship will be held at Syracuse High School on Saturday, March 9, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We are happy to welcome the top 60 elementary teams in Utah!
- We are giving out a TON of awards: 12 trophies and 10 spots to VEX Worlds.
- The judges have requested digital notebooks. Please upload your notebook link to Robot Events by Friday, March 1, 2024.
- There will be a costume contest. The team with the best costumes will win a prize!
- There will be a pit decorating contest. The team with the best pit will win a prize!
- We will have a parade of teams at the beginning of the tournament. Each team can make a poster with their team's number/name on it for the parade.
- State Championship shirts are provided for each team again this year (up to 6 members).
- Student of the year awards will be given out again this year. You can nominate ONE student from your organization.
- Concessions will be sold for $1 each.
The 2024 Utah VEX IQ Robotics Challenge Elementary State Championship has been granted 10 VEX IQ World Championship spots.
If a team double-qualifies for a World Championship spot, the state’s next highest ranking team from the State Championship Skills receives the invitation. World Championship invitations from the Skills Standings are offered after the results of the State Championship have been posted at robotevents.com, and will not be announced at the State Championship.
World Championship qualifying awards and invitations are issued to teams whether or not the teams have expressed an intention to attend the event. Unaccepted World Championship invitations are not offered or transferred to other teams.

Skills will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm with a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Judging will occur from 10:00 am until completed.
* Each team will be allowed a maximum of 3 skills runs for both Driving Skills and Programming Skills.
** If you want to be eligible for judging, you must upload your notebook to Robot Events.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If we cannot hold the tournament due to weather, you will be contacted and the tournament will be rescheduled.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be given minus the $5 non-refundable Robot Events fee.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: no refunds will be given.
Event payment is due on February 23, 2024.

Judging Format
Judging at the State Championship will be:
- Digitial Engineering Notebook Submission/ In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Submissions are due on Friday, March 1, 2024.
