Please Join STEM Southwest Podcast and Be Greater Than Average, LLC as we present a VEX IQ Event with skills challenges and judging! 

Please note that at this event there are two parking locations a document as been provided with the location for parking so that buses will be able to park and teams can unload.

Judging is encouraged, but not required.  If you opt to participate in judging:

Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. If you need help with submitting a digital notebook, please review the following information Submitting a Digital Notebook for VIQC

  • Physical notebooks, or digital files of notebooks, will not be accepted in person.
  • Acceptance Deadline for Digital Notebook: December 1,2023

The Team's Primary Contact, or another designated Adult Team contact (over the age of 18), must be present in the meeting environment through out the duration of the time. The Team's Primary Contact will be responsible for providing the Adult representative's contact information to the Event Partner prior to the event.

Agenda

All of the following times are in Mountain Time Zone:

CHECKIN: 9:00 to 9:30 AM.

INSPECTION: 9:30 to 10:30 AM will be done after Check In. Inspections will not be completed after 10:30 AM.

COMPETITION will begin at 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM.  If we finish early, you may leave, however, you may want to stick around for awards. You never know what may happen.

LUNCH: 12:- 1PM

JUDGING

In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. A judge willl come to each table and will interview the team(s).

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions. NoteBooks will only be accepted Digitally

             Acceptance Deadline for Digital Notebook: DECEMBER 1, 2023

Volunteer

We love having volunteers.  Most of the Volunteers for the competition must be a minimum of 16 and in some cases 18 or older. If you have anyone that would like to volunteer please contact us by filling in the form HERE

Here is a link to the list of Volunteer positions available and the age requirements. Some positions such as Judging and Head Refereeing require additional training. If that is something you are interested in, you can get started by going HERE.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This event will take place rain or shine as it is in doors.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event:  All fees will be refunded except the $5.00 REC processing fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: None avaliable!

 

Judging Format
