General Info

This event was originally going to be at Samoset Elementary and will now takes place at Louise R. Johnson K-8 School. 2121 26th Ave E, Bradenton, FL

Team 3300 is hosting the 2nd Annual Samoset/Johnson Matchup VEX IQ Full Volume tournament.  This event will be held at Louise R. Johnson K-8 School of International Studies at 2121 26th Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34208.  The Samoset/Johnson Matchup is an elementary school-only tournament.  Specific award winners will qualify for the State championship.  

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form (also available in Spanish).  Once per season covers all events.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Event will take place rain or shine, unless we have a weather event where the school district closes schools.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the EP cancels we will reschedule or issue refunds minus the $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is non-refundable.  If a coach cancels you will not receive a refund unless you spot can be filled and that refund, if issued, is minus the $5 RobotEvents processing fee that is non-refundable.

Health and Safety Policies

  • Only the team members and one adult, in addition to the team coach, is allowed at the table at any time during the event.
  • Skills runs will be scheduled prior to alliance matches.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date. Digital notebooks MUST be submitted no later than 4:00pm on Friday, January 19th, 2024.
