General Info

We’re  very excited that you are considering the GTACS VIQRC Full Volume Tournament. Please refer to the agenda for the most updated schedule.

  • Judging:  This event will have judging. Enginnering Notebooks are to be turned in at Check-In when teams arrive.
  • Skills: Open during Qualifying Matches only. Teams may choose to run up to 3 Driver and 3 Skills on a first-come first-serve basis.
  • Tournament: We will follow the traditional REC Tournament Schedule.

Additional Notes:

  • Teams are encouraged to maintain personal space and be considerate of others while at the event.
  • All team registrations MUST BE PAID within 2 weeks of the date that you regerested and at least 1 week prior to the event.  Failure to meet these payment policies may result in your team being moved to the waitlist.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Maximum Skills per team: 3 Driver and 3 Programming 

  • 9:30am             Doors Open and Inspection begins: Skill Fields Open (Notebooks are due at Check-in)
  • 10:00am             Engineering Notebook turn in DEADLINE
  • 10:15am             Driver Meeting on Main Field (Teams must be checked in prior to 10:00am)

  • 10:30am             Opening Ceremony
  • 10:45am             Qualification Rounds Begin 
  • 11:00am           Team interviews begin in the pits
  • No formal Lunch break eat when you have a break

  • 1:45pm             Qualifying Ends

  • 2:00pm              Alliance Selection (8 alliances will play in the Finals)
  • 2:30pm              Finals & Awards
  • 3:30pm              Event Ends (Design Notebooks will be returned)

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This is an In-Person Live event.  In the event of any cancelations, state restrictions or weather, we will post any cancelation updates in this section. 

The event title will also be udated to reflect "Cancelled".

Refund and Payment Policies

There are typically no refunds issued for this event.

All team registrations MUST BE PAID within 2 weeks of your team registration date and at least 1 week prior to the event.  Failure to meet these payment policies may result in your team being moved to the waitlist.

NOTE:

  • If we cancel the event for any reason, we will reschedule the event, apply the funds to a different event we are running, or issue refunds for the event at our discretion.
  • Any refund that is issued will happen only after payment is received from the REC Foundation. There is a $5 non-refundable RECF Fee that will not be refunded, even if event fees are.
  • Refunds will not be offered in cases where we do not cancel the event. Please consider potential travel restrictions and weather when signing up and paying for the event.

Judging Format

This event will have In-Person Judging.

  • The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
  • Team Interviews will take place in the pit area. 
  • Enginnering Notebooks are to be turned in at Check-In when teams arrive. DEADLINE is 9:00am
